National No Housework Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the

National No Housework Day Online Blog Hop!

If you have arrived not knowing until now about the hop, no problem...just go back to

Groovy Deb's Blog at:

where this hop starts and work your way through.  You may find games, prized, projects and how do-you-dos along the path :).  We would appreciate it if you sign up to keep in touch with us by "following" and would love your comments.  Perhaps you have arrived here from Jeannie - Polka Cabana.  Great!  I hope you enjoyed that stop and the others so far!!!

We celebrate this national holiday by scrapping today and into the weekend with projects that remind us of housework or getting away from it!!!  Take the day off, put up your feet and let's hop!

For my project, I thought about what I would do if I didn't have any housework.  Well, seeing as how it is spring, I think I would just like to spend some time outside, maybe at the botanical garden or the zoo.  So here is my take on No Housework Day and Spring!

Materials used:
  • Fiskars Scissors
  • Fiskars Trimmer
  • Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife
  • Paper from The Paper Studio and ColorBok
  • ScorPal
  • Punch from Stampin Up!
  • Ribbon from Stampin Up!
  • All stamps from The Stamps of Life - Back2Basics, Banners4All, Daisies4You sets
DON'T LEAVE YET, I HAVE A RAK!

How about a
Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch
and a
Fiskars Fingertip Control Swivel Knife?????

You have two chances to win:
1.  Leave a comment here!
2.  Become a follower!
Make sure to tell me that you are now a follower, in the comments!

I will pick a winner sometime Monday evening!

Fiskateers - WSO - Challenge #19

Challenge #19 - I have always wanted to try...

...Alcohol Inks.  After watching a Tim Holtz video on YouTube, I decided to give it a try.

Here is my take on this challenge:

I stamped the alcohol ink onto a recycled plastic acetate and waited for it to dry. I tried to stamp the images on top of it, but it didn't work, so I stamped them underneath instead.

Materials used:
  • Fiskars Trimmer
  • Fiskars Scissors
  • Paper from The Paper Studio
  • Ribbon from Celebrate It
  • Inkssentials felt and foam applicator
  • Adirondack Earthtones Alcohol Ink
  • Distress Inks from Ranger
  • Stamps from The Stamps of Life - Butterfly2Build and Daisies4You sets
I appreciate you stopping by, and we will see you here tomorrow for the last of the Winter Stamp Out Challenges.  Then, don't forget to join me here on Thursday for Groovy Deb's No Housework Blog Hop!

Fiskateers - WSO - Challenge #9

Challenge #9 - Orange Goes With...

Green!

I had a lot of fun with this card.  The best part of this card, is that it could be a wedding card, or it could be a birthday card, or even a celebration card.  I am posting two pictures because once I posted this on the Fiskateer website, I just felt like it was missing something.  Here is the picture I posted for the challenge:

I added a few hearts on the sentiment, and now I think it is complete:

Materials Used:
  • Fiskars Trimmer
  • Fiskars Scissors
  • Fiskars Finger Tip Craft Knife
  • Paper from The Paper Studio
  • Paper from ColorBok
  • Embossing folder from Sizzix
  • Punch from Stampin Up!
  • Stamps from The Stamps of Life - Cake2Build set
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow for another challenge posting!

Fiskateers - WSO - Challenge #5

Challenge #5 was by the numbers.  Now please keep in mind that I am currently living in a RV Fifth Wheel Camper, so I have very limited crafting supplies.  I brought some of my Stampin Up! stamps along with my The Stamps of Life Stamps, and a few other assorted acrylic stamps.  Here is a picture of our temporary home, (we are in the process of buying a home):

That being said, I dug, and dug through my very small assortment of stamps and found one stamp set with numbers on it.  This is what I came up with for the challenge:

Materials used:
  • Fiskars Trimmer
  • Fiskars Scissors
  • Paper from The Paper Studio
  • Ribbon from my scraps - not sure
  • Stamps from Stampology
  • "my friend" stamp from The Stamps of Life - Thanks4OneYear set
Come back tomorrow for more of the WSO!

Happy day to you!

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

This is a picture of the cover I made for projects from my friend Stephanie's website. Stephanie Barnard has a great website at http://www.thestampsoflife.com/. She features a monthly clear acrylic stamp club that is incredible. First of all, it is so affordable, and will not break the bank. Second, I have to say that I have never had such high quality stamps in my possession. And did I mention that her stamps are VERY trendy! They stamp really well and you will get a great stamp on the first try! She has all of the latest styles coming out, month after month! I encourage all of my friends out there to give it a try! All of the stamps on the project below are from The Stamps of Life! Did you know that Stephanie is also a Fiskateer! Yippee!

Valentines Cards

Here are a couple of Valentine's cards I have made. The first card was made with The Stamps of Life clear stamps:

The second card was done with a Cuttlebut embossing card, the heart is from my Cricut, and the border and Love symbol are from my Sizzix:
